This is a Christian kit that I made. I think you will find that it has many uses. I included the card that is pictured below this post (in part two) without the wording to make it more versatile. I will be uploading the second part of the elements and the papers so be sure and stop by and pick them up. I have to say that the church is my favorite part! You can download it HERE.

Carole N. asked me how I scan 3-D items such as the mirror that I posted. Carole, I took a picture of the mirror with my digital camera and then extracted it from the background. I use PSE4. I try scanning an item and if it doesn't come out good, then I try the camera. I have scanned 3-D items successfully though. I put them on the glass and then cover it with a white towel. I have read but not tried that if you have a smaller item, cover it with a box so that no light shines in. Below is a scanned photo of the sewing kit that my Dad carried in WWII. If you look closely, you can see the towel in the background. If anyone would like this photo uploaded to use in a heritage layout, send me an email. The metal item at the top right is a can opener!

Speaking of WWII, here is a picture of my handsome Dad! This is a paper layout.

I had so much fun doing the Color Challenge at DSO that I kept on playing after I posted my kit. I decided to go ahead and share more elements that I made in case someone wants to use them. I think they have a heritage feel to them. You can download them HERE.
Special thanks go to 'Lady Shannon' for her shapes! Click HERE to go to her site!

This is a layout that I made from the kit below. I did this layout for the Heritage Challenge at DSO. The ribbon and bow are from Vintage Whispers by Chris Young. Check out the January Color Challenge to download the kits.
